When Suraj went looking for the perfect ring for Sarmila, he expected the hard part to be choosing the design. Instead, the hard part was the price. Every piece he loved carried a markup that had little to do with the gold or the gemstone, and everything to do with the long chain of middlemen it passed through before it ever reached the counter.

Suraj came from a family with a jewelry background, so he knew what these pieces were actually worth. He knew the craft. And he knew there had to be a better way. So instead of overpaying for something that felt impersonal, he made the ring himself.

That ring became a proposal. The proposal became a marriage. And the marriage became NUVORI, the company Suraj and Sarmila built together so that everyone could give a gift as meaningful as the one that started it all, without the middleman markup.
